First the don’ts: Don’t force your child to do something they are not ready to do simply because you feel it necessary for their educational future. This is a surefire way of creating a hatred for learning later on. However, do provide them with educational games so they can set their own pace and learn at their own speed. You child will let you know when they are ready to take on more.
Our job as parents is to expose them to as many options from books and games to building blocks. Allowing you child to set their own pace will help to stimulate their curiosity, creativity, and become more involved in learning. The educational toys and games you child plays with will change as your child grows older. Your child may be at the stage where they are learning math or science or reading. You can modify a game like Bingo for developing math skills. You can set it up so you call out easy math problems and the kids cross off the answer on the Bingo card. They can play this with their friends or with help from mom and dad. Just make sure the questions are based on the child’s age. Make them too hard and your child will become discouraged pretty easily. Make them too easy and they will lose interest. The older child might enjoy science related games where they can relate science aspects to every day life. For kids that don’t take to learning very easily, kids educational games can be a real benefit because they combine learning with fun. The key is to start early with toys, games, and books that are age appropriate. They’ll be less likely to resist learning later if made fun at an early age.

The first day of school is full of excitement and nervous anxiety for young children – especially knowing your mom and dad aren’t going to be there to hold your hand. I just went through this when my son started kindergarten.
How can we as parents make the transition to school as tear-free and enjoyable as possible? When I was a child (too long ago to mention) information and knowledge were gained through games and books.
Learning just isn’t as effective without making it fun. Teachers also know this and add fun to their classes. Young children learn best when it is enjoyable to them and they will be much more likely to want more.
Educational toys that teach and are fun will help them develop their own personalities and teach important social skills while playing with others.
With the economy the way it is and disposable income not what it used to be, making sure our students have fun while learning is so important to a happy school environment, home life, and self-confidence.
Instilling confidence is so important as our children grow into smart, responsible young adults. The growing number of spoiled children is another matter and the two should not be confused. I see this at my kids daycare on a daily basis. Parents play a crucial role of sometimes having to say no to the ever increasing demands of our kids. By not setting limits for our kids then child care centers and teachers have an increasing difficult time dealing with disruptive kids. This emphasizes the need for early learning tools. When a child’s early learning is disrupted by a spoiled child then they are not having fun and learning to the best of their abilities. Spoiling can result in children not being accepted into society and possibly getting expelled from school. Day care centers and schools are doing their best to provide safe, fun learning activities with a dedicated staff. So our young kids can learn and have fun in a safe, happy environment. What a great way to start the early learning years.

We all want to prepare our kids for life’s challenges, and to provide the best love, care, and education possible.
Children’s books not only keep your child engaged and occupied, but stimulate them to think, use their imagination, and is a major force in educating our kids.
Getting into the reading habit should be introduced early. Kids will be required to read more and more as they get into school. If kids are already in the habit of reading then they won’t balk at reading textbooks, either. Books are the perfect gift for a child – always the perfect fit and never go out of style. Babies and toddlers will enjoy picture books that will provide a positive association with books, and this will be SO important as your child grows.
Books for children that are used during early childhood development are often colorful, and soft. Preschoolers will benefit from book that have small words along with pictures. This helps them to understand that words tell us a story and has a positive effect on kids later. Once your child enters Kindergartners they can begin to enjoy books with fewer pictures and more of a story. These kinds of books will start them asking questions and bring out their natural inquisitiveness. And asking questions is the best way to learn and gain knowledge.
Books with rhyming words can be easier for young kids. These types of books are often easier to memorize and helps to develop memory skills.
It is easy to buy books for kids. Most of the larger book stores have a separate aisle dedicated just to kids. A lot of them even have a play area or story time that really caters to kids and keeps them busy while parents shop.
Libraries also offer story time and is a great place to take young children to establish a lifetime love of reading, plus the books are free to borrow!
